US In-Region Routing is now generally available, alongside EU routing. Requests to https://t.co/Qe4ZsgQXtA are decrypted inside the US and processed there at every step, from TLS termination to the provider! https://t.co/n9Ubm6lT7J does the same for the EU

Context

OpenRouter made US In-Region Routing generally available, alongside the EU routing it already offered. Requests sent to OpenRouter's US-specific endpoint are decrypted inside the US and processed there at every step, from the initial secure connection (TLS termination) through to whichever model provider handles the request, rather than being decrypted or routed through servers in other countries along the way.

The EU endpoint works the same way for European requests. For a team building an product that has to keep certain data inside a specific jurisdiction, whether for a client contract or a regulatory requirement, the practical change is that meeting that constraint becomes a matter of pointing requests at a different base URL rather than restructuring how the request is routed.
