New Privacy Focused Provider Drop Venice

Context

OpenRouter, a service that gives developers one interface to models from many hosting providers, added Venice as a provider in a July 2025 announcement. The announcement features a Venice-tuned version of Mistral 24B and describes it as having no server-side storage or filtering.

Venice's partnership article makes the same two claims in its own words: conversations are not stored on its servers, and its open-source models run without additional content restrictions. These are Venice's statements, and OpenRouter's announcement repeats them without independent testing. They describe separate policies: one concerns whether conversation data is kept, the other which requests the model will answer. For a developer already using OpenRouter, the change is one more provider to choose with those stated policies.
