Hy3 preview's reported usage lead covers a two-week free-access promotion on OpenRouter. In its May 9, 2026 announcement, Tencent says the model ranked first in overall usage, coding and tool calls during that period, and that paid access would continue afterward. This establishes the company's account of strong trial-period usage. Whether that usage persisted once customers had to pay is a separate question the announcement does not answer.
