Next Notes is a native macOS app that runs dictation, meeting recording, and follow-up actions entirely on-device. Holding a key transcribes speech with Apple's or Parakeet's engines and returns cleaned-up text to whatever app was focused, while a separate mode records meetings and a voice Command Mode lets users edit selected text by speaking.
Why it made the leaderboard
It merges voice dictation and meeting transcription in one native macOS app that never sends audio off-device, giving builders a privacy-preserving alternative to cloud dictation and meeting-note tools.
