Koi Editor is a fast, minimal, local-first code editor for Apple Silicon Macs, currently in alpha, that is tuned for low-latency typing, measuring a P95 latency of 17.86ms even on a 1-million-line file. It connects to local Ollama models for private code completion and inline AI chat with no account or telemetry, and lets users write custom editor commands in plain Python instead of learning a plugin framework.
