In a post on X dated October 8, 2026, Thariq says Max plans for Claude now come with Claude API credits every month, written as "$100, or 200 matching your plan". The most natural reading is that the credit equals the price of the plan, but the wording is compressed and the post does not spell it out. API credits are what a program that calls the model directly draws on, which is why Thariq pitches them for building "more personal AI" for yourself.
Thariq's own example is a personal AI homepage, generated daily from sites they read, that replaces Chrome's new-tab page. The post does not say whether credits roll over, which models they cover or how to claim them, and it is an individual's announcement rather than a pricing page.
