About
sjq is a command-line filter for OpenAI-compatible streaming responses. It reads chat completion and Responses API streams as they arrive and prints only what each event adds, one short line per token, and separates reasoning tokens from answer tokens. It also prints timing such as time to first token and tokens per second. The README reports that envelope fields make up about 99 percent of a typical stream, so filtering them also saves context for coding agents.
