About
Foretype is a Rust tool that draws each typed character locally before the remote server echoes it back, so typing over SSH or into a laggy console feels immediate. Its README reports median keypress-to-screen time dropping from about 160 ms to 10 ms for bash over SSH and from 148 ms to 11 ms for a coding agent over SSH, against a deliberately laggy server.
