agenttab is a shell utility that sets a terminal tab's title to an icon showing the current state of an AI coding agent, idle, working, waiting for permission, or ended, alongside the conversation's title or its directory name. It supports Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode, and includes a Cursor integration that keeps a custom tab rename in place instead of letting the agent overwrite it.

Why it made the leaderboard

Agenttab surfaces at-a-glance status icons in terminal tab titles for Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode sessions, making it easy to see which of several running agents needs attention without switching tabs.
