Aldine is a self-hosted, open-source (AGPL-3.0) alternative to Overleaf for collaborative LaTeX writing, structuring each paper as its own Git repository so branches, history, and merges work the same way they do for code. It supports real-time co-editing through Yjs CRDT, syncs with Zotero and GitHub, and includes AI-assisted error fixing, all run from two containers.
