Vercel's August 17 promotion discounted OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol by 50% for eligible AI Gateway billing through September 18, 2026. Requests using a customer's own provider account were excluded: those remained subject to that account's rates. The billing route determined eligibility.
The subsequent price update applied the same discount to lower list prices on August 21. Its changelog retained the September 18 deadline. These announcements describe a promotional window that has passed, so their quoted prices should be read as historical terms.
