Vercel Inc. is an American cloud infrastructure and developer-tools company headquartered in San Francisco, founded in 2015 by Guillermo Rauch (with Tony Kovanen and Naoyuki Kanezawa) as ZEIT before rebranding to Vercel in April 2020. It created and maintains the Next.js web framework and provides the cloud platform many teams use to build, deploy, and scale frontend applications, running on infrastructure built atop AWS. Vercel has since expanded into AI-assisted development tooling and, as of a September 2025 Series F, was valued at $9.3 billion with roughly 550 employees.
