About
TiddlyInstall is a single HTML page that builds installers for Windows, Linux, and Mac without any software to download, working entirely offline in the browser. It uses NSIS for Windows and shell scripting for the other platforms, and installers follow embedded metadata that can be verified by hashes and signatures, so producing a new binary only requires changing that metadata. It's open source under the MIT license and inspired by TiddlyWiki's single-file model.
Why it made the leaderboard
Lets developers build native installers for their software entirely from a browser with no packaging toolchain installed, a meaningfully different distribution workflow than typical installer builders.
