Tencent's Hy-MT2 translation models land on OpenRouter

Tencent announced that Hy-MT2-1.8B and Hy-MT2-30B-A3B are available through OpenRouter, which lets application developers call the translation models over a hosted API instead of running the weights themselves. OpenRouter lists the 1.8B and 30B-A3B models as separate endpoints.

Tencent's announcement describes the models as built for translation across 33 languages, with instruction following for structured, contextual and style-guided tasks. That is the company's description. The models' own documentation shows prompts that give terminology pairs or a target style, so an application can steer how a translation is written rather than only choosing the target language.
