Context

Vercel's Cline adapter gives applications another coding- runtime behind the AI SDK's shared HarnessAgent interface. A is the runtime that manages the agent's work; the shared interface lets application code select among supported runtimes without rebuilding that integration. Cline adapter announcement.

The execution boundary is specific: Cline itself runs in the host process, while its tools use a for remote file access and shell commands. No bridge process is installed inside that sandbox. Developers therefore need to distinguish the agent runtime from the environment where its tools operate when reasoning about isolation. Execution model.
