Context

Vercel's Run SDK lets an 's generated JavaScript or TypeScript call selected application functions without directly accessing the surrounding server or network. It executes the program inside a QuickJS in a worker thread. The application supplies the permitted functions and keeps credentials behind that boundary. The release article describes the execution model.

A function can interrupt execution for authentication or approval. On resumption, the program replays while completed function calls return their recorded results, avoiding repetition of that completed work. The application still authorizes each exposed operation. This makes the interface between generated code and real actions the place to enforce access and approval.
