Context

OpenRouter presents MiniMax H3 Max as a faster and cheaper option than H3 for generating short videos from text or a single starting keyframe. In its September 2 post, the same prompt reportedly produced a clip in about 30 seconds rather than about 3.5 minutes, costing $0.40 rather than $0.65.

Those figures describe one showcased side-by-side comparison, whose attached video was not reviewed, so they are OpenRouter’s account rather than a general result. The post adds the product terms: clips of 5 to 15 seconds, priced per second at $0.05 for 480p and $0.08 for 768p. The supported appeal is shorter waits and lower cost when iterating on clips; the post does not establish equal visual quality across tasks.
