gpu-font is a browser-based tool that identifies which font is used in a cropped line of text by comparing it against catalogs including Google Fonts, DaFont, Adobe Fonts, GitHub font repositories, and Debian packages. It uses a small neural network, trained in PyTorch on rendered Google Fonts samples and run with WebGPU, to score grayscale crops of the input against every catalog font and rank the closest matches, including weight and italic.
