browser-whisper is a JavaScript library that transcribes audio and video entirely in the browser using WebGPU, with no server involved. It builds on Transformers.js and WebCodecs and supports Whisper, Moonshine, Distil-Whisper and NVIDIA Parakeet models, with multilingual Whisper models covering 99 languages. Running locally means audio never leaves the user's device.
