About
DroidPutter lets an Android phone act as the screen, keyboard, GPS and flasher for open-source Cardputer apps by plugging in an ESP32-S3 board over USB-OTG. Apps are rebuilt on demand from GitHub against a display/keyboard shim, so the ESP32-S3 runs the app logic while the phone supplies the interface and location data.
Why it made the leaderboard
It turns an idle Android phone into the screen, keyboard and GPS for an ESP32-S3 Cardputer, rebuilding open-source Cardputer apps on demand from GitHub, useful for hobbyists without a dedicated small-form-factor device.
