About
ThinkRail is a fork of JetBrains' open-source agent IDE shell, which normally provides a worktree-per-tab interface (chat, file tree, terminal) hardwired to JetBrains' own coding agent. The fork adds a plugin API so the same interface can host other agents, wiring in Claude Code as a first-class built-in plugin alongside seven others, including interactive specs, PDF preview, a branch graph, and a live drawing surface, with nightly builds distributed via a Homebrew tap.
Why it made the leaderboard
Lets Claude Code run inside JetBrains' worktree-scoped agent IDE UI instead of being locked to a single hardwired agent, opening the shell to multiple coding agents.
