vmctl

About

vmctl is a small Swift supervisor for running macOS or Linux virtual machines on Apple Silicon. It provisions the first user on macOS guests and uses cloud-init for Linux guests. It uses no third-party packages, guest agent or TCP control port, so the whole code base can be read in one sitting. The README also documents why USB passthrough of an iPhone fails, because the Virtualization framework rejects devices with isochronous endpoints.
