About
AstraBox is a self-hosted, open-source runtime for running managed coding agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, DeepSeek Harness, and Pi, on your own infrastructure, positioned as an alternative to Anthropic's Claude Managed Agents. It provides a hosted online sandbox where anyone can try an agent writing and running code with a free model, without signing up, in sessions that last about two minutes.
Why it made the leaderboard
Lets teams run Claude Code, Codex, and similar coding agents as managed services on their own infrastructure instead of a vendor's hosted cloud, useful for anyone with data-residency or cost constraints.
