Sprites' MCPThe Model Context Protocol — an open standard that lets any AI assistant plug into any tool or data source without custom integration code.Full definition → integration gives an assistant access to cloud computers even when that assistant cannot run local shell commands. Fly.io's announcement describes authenticating a session to one organization, then letting the assistant create and manage Sprites for tasks such as reproducing a bug or testing a change.
The session can limit how many Sprites it creates and apply a name prefix so those machines are recognizable. Those controls bound creation and aid identification. The company still favors its command-line interface for assistants that already have shell access, making MCP an additional access path for a different kind of client.
