Context

OpenRouter added Gemini 4 Argon through two provider backends under a shared model identifier. Its model listing describes automatic failover between providers and lets callers pin or exclude them. Applications can therefore select Argon through the routing service while retaining control over which provider handles a request.

The October 13 launch announcement quotes introductory rates of $2 per million input and $10 per million output tokens. These are the announced launch rates, with the listing marking them as discounted. Launch announcement.
