Context
Asana's testing-framework migration was a well-defined job for coding agents: moving its remaining Enzyme tests off that framework, directory by directory. Its engineering account says the team ran up to four OpenAI Codex agents at once, each pointed at a different directory, with engineers checking progress each morning and evening. Typechecking, linting, tests and CI gave the agents feedback on their changes.
Gergely Orosz's newsletter features the project in its discussion of AI migrations. Asana reports about a week and a half of engineering time spread over two calendar weeks. Its five-year figure describes how long the migration would have taken at the prior pace; it should not be read as five years of dedicated labor compressed into that period.
