pdf2epub

About

pdf2epub is a Swift command-line tool for macOS that converts PDFs, including scans and transcriptions, into reflowable EPUBs using Apple's PDFKit and Vision frameworks. An optional Apple Foundation Models pass proofreads and formats the text. A packaged installer adds a Finder Quick Action so PDFs can be converted from the right-click menu, which makes small e-ink readers usable with PDF content.
