OpenRouter's bring-your-own-key feature lets developers use existing provider access credentials and credits through OpenRouter. That allows an application to retain the service's shared access layer while drawing on accounts it already holds with model providers. The announcement also describes consolidated usage tracking in its activity dashboard. The benefit is combining existing provider relationships with one place to observe model usage.
