About
Pkgbot is a search engine for Linux packages built on the Repology data dump, indexing roughly 2.7 million packages across more than 100 package repositories. It adds shareable permalinks, sorting and filtering by license, version, and recency, plus JSON and CSV APIs for terminal use and LLM querying, addressing UX gaps its author found in existing package search sites.
Why it made the leaderboard
Fixes the clunky UX of existing package search aggregators and adds a CSV/JSON API designed for terminal and LLM consumption, useful for agents doing dependency or package research.
