readfirst stores team knowledge about a codebase (rules, risks, checks, tests and callers) in a single map file committed next to the code. Before a developer or AI coding agent changes a file, the command line tool prints the entries tied to that file, so conventions such as units or backward-compatibility needs are visible at edit time. It can wire itself into several coding agents and run a GitHub Action that comments on pull requests.
