We're adding a new plugin to Claude Code: You should Know. It scans Claude's output for important information you might miss to help keep you in the loop. Enable it with: /plugin enable cc-plugin-you-should-know@builtin
"You should know" is a mod that works by spinning off a sideagent to observe Claude's output. Read more about mods in our newest blog post: https://t.co/RQgKfEzU0c
Context
Anthropic announced You should know, a plugin for its Claude Code coding tool that scans Claude's output for important information a user might miss, to help keep them in the loop. Anthropic describes it as a mod, a kind of plugin, that works by spinning off a side to observe Claude's output. Users switch it on with the plugin enable command named in the announcement.
The design addresses during an ongoing coding session: a second agent watches what the main agent communicates so the user does not have to catch every detail. The announcement establishes this monitoring role. It does not report how reliably the plugin identifies important omissions, and its demonstration video was not reviewed, so what the plugin shows in the interface is not described here. Thread
- AI agent — An AI system that doesn't just answer once but works toward a goal in a loop — taking actions, reading the results, and deciding what to do next.
- attention — The mechanism that lets a model weigh which earlier words matter for the word it's currently processing — the core operation of a transformer.
