We've heard how much people love Haiku and it's back in 5.5, cheaper, faster than ever before. In fact it's 10x cheaper than Haiku 4.5 under 100k tokens. Try it with computer use, workflows and in the API. https://t.co/Jkoed6A3sH

Context

In an X post, Thariq said Claude Haiku 5.5 is back, cheaper and faster than ever before, and 10x cheaper than Haiku 4.5 under 100,000 . The condition is the important part. A Latent Space roundup relays tiered prices posted by Anthropic's ClaudeDevs account: $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per million output below 100,000 tokens, and $0.50 and $2.50 above it.

Haiku 4.5 launched at $1 and $5, per Anthropic, so the tenfold gap holds for shorter prompts and shrinks to about twofold for longer ones. The post also suggests trying it with computer use, workflows and the API. It makes no claim about quality or cost per finished task, which also depends on how many tokens a model uses.
