OpenCode Mentor (MAI, Mentor AI Infrastructure) is an OpenCode configuration built to teach software development rather than just produce code. A learning-orchestrator agent named Rob routes requests to specialist agents (mentor, reviewer, architect, drill-instructor) that favor diagnosis, small hints, deliberate practice and gradually reduced support, aiming to strengthen a learner's own reasoning instead of replacing it.
Why it made the leaderboard
It configures OpenCode as a learning-first mentor rather than an autocomplete engine, routing requests through diagnosis, hints and review agents that deliberately withhold code to build independent problem-solving skill.
