Ax (Agent Exchange)

Ax, also called Agent Exchange, lets coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, Grok Build, and Pi message each other by name across separate terminal sessions and repositories on the same machine. It runs as a local Go broker over Unix sockets with a SQLite mailbox so messages survive broker restarts, performs no cloud relay or telemetry, and leaves each agent talking to its own configured AI provider for reasoning.
