Qwen3.8-27B leads open models on the Image-to-WebDev Arena

Qwen's 27-billion-parameter Qwen3.8-27B earned a high ranking on a specific visual coding task. Its August 26, 2026 announcement reported first place among open models and seventh overall on Arena's Image-to-WebDev ranking, which scores web pages built from image inputs.

The Arena post Qwen quoted gives the model 1574 points and says that matches Kimi K3 (Max) at 2.8 trillion parameters; Qwen itself says 27B is on par with models 100x its size. These are vendor and evaluator claims about one leaderboard, and they do not establish equivalent capability across all tasks performed by larger models.
