Vercel Connect lets an application request access credentials when it needs to call another service. The deployment proves its identity to Connect, which supplies short-lived credentials through an attached connector. This moves provider-secret management out of application configuration. A request can act for the application or for a user who has completed a consent flow. Permission granularity depends on the connected service. Administrators can inspect authorization activity and revoke access centrally, making the credentials' identity, lifetime, and permissions part of an explicit access workflow.
