Today we are releasing FLUX.1 Krea [dev] - a new state-of-the-art open-weights FLUX model, built for photorealism. Developed in collaboration with @krea_ai, this model is focused on images with unique aesthetics. No “AI look”, no blown-out highlights, just natural detail.

Context
FLUX.1 Krea dev is a downloadable image model that Black Forest Labs developed with Krea to avoid the oversaturated "AI look" in generated images. Its architecture is compatible with FLUX.1 dev, so developers can use it with that model's existing ecosystem, and the release article describes it as a flexible base for customizing downstream applications. The distinguishing choice is the aesthetic: the developers aimed for a less oversaturated look rather than a general-purpose default. That is their stated goal, not an independent judgment of the images.
