Introducing Flexible Deployment Options at Factory

Factory Private is a deployment option that runs Factory's coding-agent platform, whose agents it calls Droids, in a customer's own cloud network, on-premises environment or air-gapped network. Factory's announcement says the control plane, the service that coordinates the work, and sensitive data sit in the customer's environment under the customer's existing identity, network and security controls, with disconnected configurations available. The page describes the option as in private preview. Factory's deployment page adds that, unlike its managed cloud version, the customer's team operates the deployment and controls updates, and that Droids can connect to self-hosted open-source models, government cloud endpoints or approved commercial providers. The practical change is a trade: more control over where coordination and data live, in exchange for running and updating that infrastructure.
