Context
Tencent's global Hy3 rollout gives people two ways to use the model: through applications that organize work, or through an API that developers connect to their own software. Its August 5 announcement describes WorkBuddy for office tasks, Miora for creative workflows, and Tencent Cloud TokenHub for model access through a shared interface.
Following Hy3's open-weight release, this expansion makes the model accessible through hosted products as well. Using Hy3 therefore does not necessarily require downloading its weights and operating the model yourself.
- open weights — A model whose trained parameters are published for anyone to download and run — unlike API-only models you can access but never possess.
- token — The chunk of text a model reads and writes in — roughly three-quarters of a word — and the unit AI usage is billed in.
- AI agent — An AI system that doesn't just answer once but works toward a goal in a loop — taking actions, reading the results, and deciding what to do next.
