Factory had its Droid coding analyze its own web activity, and a large share of what it looked up was technical reference material. The analysis covered 780,000 search and page-fetch calls, with 10,000 sampled queries classified by category. The reported breakdown assigns 40% to documentation and learning materials, with another 14% going to API references.
Search finds potentially useful resources; page fetching retrieves a particular document for closer reading. Those complementary functions explain why access to external references is a substantial part of this coding assistant's work. Because the analysis removed conversation and session , it describes information requests rather than establishing what each search contributed to a completed task.
