We asked Drex whether we should open-source Drex 2.0. It was 94% sure. So here are the weights. Compatible with Ollama, Unsloth, OpenCode or plug it into Claude, Codex, Cursor, Hermes, Claw and more. Try it now: https://t.co/mhVkxMFntX Cloud users: Claim a $25 sign up bonus

Why it matters

Drex 2.0 is an decision model that returns probabilities for typed questions instead of generated text, and it runs locally via Ollama and llama.cpp. Useful as a cheap routing or decision layer in pipelines.

Terms in this piece · Glossary
  • mixture-of-experts — A model built from many specialist sub-networks where only a few activate per token, giving big-model capability at small-model running cost.
  • calibration — How well a model's confidence matches reality — a calibrated model saying "90% sure" is right about 90% of the time.
  • open weights — A model whose trained parameters are published for anyone to download and run — unlike API-only models you can access but never possess.
  • AI agent — An AI system that doesn't just answer once but works toward a goal in a loop — taking actions, reading the results, and deciding what to do next.
