Mistral AI Partners With Mozilla on Privacy-First AI Browsing

Mistral AI announced a partnership with Mozilla to bring privacy, control and choice to people using AI to browse. Mozilla's announcement says the concrete result is that Mistral Small 4 is the model behind Smart Window, Firefox's AI browsing assistant, which is in beta. Mozilla describes Smart Window as a way to make sense of complex search trails, find something valuable a user clicked away from, and present data sources.

Smart Window is available now in the US and Canada, and Mozilla says France is the first market with official French-language support, launching now. Mozilla says it plans additional European expansion later this year.
