Claude Code now has a screen reader mode.
Running `claude --ax-screen-reader` swaps the visual terminal UI for plain, linear text that screen readers (like VoiceOver and NVDA) can follow.
Anthropic's Claude Code offers a terminal presentation intended for screen-reader users. Its developer announcement says launching it with claude --ax-screen-reader replaces the visual interface with plain text in a linear reading order, naming VoiceOver and NVDA as examples.
The change addresses how the interface is presented: users can receive an ordered text stream instead of relying on the visual terminal layout.
