We are starting to release GPT-6 Astra and we are doing it as carefully and quickly as possible. It was very important to us that we bring it to all Plus users and not only Pro, Business and Enterprise. It will take a few days for the rollout to complete and behind the scenes many novel systems will operate at scale for the first time and we are bringing a lot of compute up. It is pure magic. https://t.co/WUdXA3xSoh
Across the plans Astra will be included in the normal usage allocation and you will be able to use 100% of it towards Astra.
Context
OpenAI's Thomas Sottiaux said the company began rolling out GPT-6 Astra to Plus accounts at the same time as Pro, Business and Enterprise, rather than reserving it for the higher tiers first. He said the rollout would take a few days to reach everyone, since it requires bringing new backend systems online at scale for the first time.
Sottiaux added that Astra usage counts against each plan's normal allocation rather than a separate quota, so Plus subscribers can put their full existing usage toward the new model. OpenAI still expects the staged rollout to take several days to complete across all accounts.
