Context
OpenAI is short on capacity for GPT-6 Astra, the computer-use and coding model it shipped this week, and Tibo Sottiaux, who posts on launch-related updates for OpenAI, said the company will credit paying ChatGPT users one extra usage reset for every day they go without Astra access on their plan. The first credited reset was due roughly three hours after the post.
That is a compensation mechanism, not an access fix. It confirms Astra's rollout to paid ChatGPT tiers is still staggered days after launch, and it tells affected users how OpenAI is measuring the gap, in days of missing access converted to banked resets, without giving a date for when access itself arrives.
