Its model reasons about the next step, uses research tools, then combines information from multiple sources into a cited response. The July 2025 announcement describes training the underlying model specifically to use those tools.
Reka positions the service for questions requiring up to 20 sources and says responses typically take one to two minutes. Developers can cap the number of reasoning steps and restrict search domains, giving an application controls over how far a research request can expand.
