Context

Deepgram expanded Nova-3 transcription to Thai, Cantonese with Traditional Chinese output, and Mandarin with Simplified or Traditional Chinese output. Its release explanation covers both live audio and recordings. These are distinct language and writing-system choices: the article lists separate language codes for Simplified and Traditional Mandarin, so selecting Mandarin alone does not settle which Chinese script the transcript uses. The release gives applications serving these audiences corresponding options within the same speech-recognition model family.
