Voice AI, minus the cloud round trip. We're bringing Deepgram's Nova-3 on-device, optimized for the @Qualcomm Hexagon NPU in Snapdragon X Series PCs. Real-time speech recognition with more speed, more privacy, no connection required. https://t.co/7K1syzu9G7

Context
Deepgram announced an initiative to run its Nova-3 speech recognition directly on PCs with Snapdragon X Series processors. The work targets Qualcomm's Hexagon neural processing unit, a processor for AI workloads, so audio can be transcribed on the device without a cloud connection. The July 21 announcement describes this as an effort for developers and device manufacturers.
The intended change is where recognition happens. Deepgram says running locally avoids the delays and privacy concerns of cloud voice AI and works without a connection. The announcement describes a development direction and gives no availability date and no latency figures for the on-device version; the accuracy numbers it quotes are for Nova-3 generally.
