Automating design work still leaves a decision about whose taste should shape the result. In conference reporting and a direct interview, Paul Bakaus, whose new design tool is Impeccable, argues for agents handling the laborious first part of the work while people steer the design and give it a distinct point of view. The report describes continued participation as part of authorship and responsibility.
That position adds a question to the autoresearch proposal from the same event: even when agents can revise their own workflows, who decides what counts as a desirable result? Bakaus's answer is a product-design commitment to human involvement, rather than a measured ceiling on what automation can achieve.
