Vercel's Chat SDK update lets developers compose richer bot messages in Discord. Opting into Components V2 makes message cards render as native layout components, so text, images and actions can be arranged together, including actions attached to individual sections. The adapter enforces the platform's 40-component limit per message.
Existing embed-based messages remain the default. Developers can therefore adopt the new layout system deliberately when a bot response needs a more structured interface, rather than changing every existing message.
